While Kate Mara was busy showing off her new blonde hair at the Golden Globes earlier this month, Jennifer Lawrence was showcasing her pixie crop. The Hunger Games actress gave her long hair the chop back in November 2013, opting for a choppy, short style.
Inspired by Jen Law’s new do, I take a look back at some of the best crops in showbiz:
Jennifer Lawrence: Debuting her new hairstyle in a Facebook photo, Jennifer is the most recent celebrity to take the plunge. According to the Daily Mail wesbite, the American actress said her long hair was just fried from being dyed so much for her film role as Katniss in The Hunger Games trilogy.
Miley Cyrus: The once Disney star got the chop back in the summer of 2012. What started out as a simple change though, turned into a whole new image for Miley as she ditched her Hannah Montana roots in search of a new, edgier image.
Anne Hathaway: Another star who cut off their hair in 2012 was Anne Hathaway. The actress lost her long, dark locks for her film role in musical adaptation, Les Miserables. Anne admitted that she found it tough to say goodbye to her usually long style, but she now wears it well.
Carey Mulligan: Star of The Great Gatsby, Carey Mulligan went for a crop back in 2008, giving her a whole new look and launched her into a packed career. The British actress is now starting to grow her hair out to a shoulder length style.
Victoria Beckham: Of course, the woman who inspired woman everywhere to ditch their long hair and go for a short, pixie crop. Victoria rocked the crop which showcased her strong jawline perfectly.
